Hailing from Rome, Italy, Marta Salerno’s journey into the world of tattooing began with a moment of youthful curiosity at age 16. What started as an experiment with a sewing needle and pen ink in 2006 evolved into a lifelong obsession with the art of the needle. Since earning her official license in Italy and honing her craft in the Netherlands, she has dedicated 15 years to mastering the medium of skin.

A true polymath, Marta has been an artist since childhood, beginning with drawing at age three and progressing to sculpting, painting, and graffiti. She views a tattoo studio as a creative sanctuary where she simply applies her fine art background to a different surface. Marta is a global pioneer in the industry, recognized as the first artist to use a digital projector to map out freehand work and large-scale realism directly onto the body. This innovative approach allows her to achieve a level of anatomical composition inspired by the Renaissance masters she admires, such as Michelangelo and Bernini.

Currently a resident guest artist at Inked Miami in South Beach, she brings a disciplined, high-performance mindset to the team. Beyond the machine, Marta is a full-time painter who prioritizes a healthy lifestyle—choosing the gym and a good night’s sleep over the party scene. Whether she is working in Miami, Rome, or Tulum, her philosophy remains centered on artistry and integrity. She is a vocal advocate for technical excellence and believes in creating work that stands the test of time, ensuring every client receives a piece they are proud to wear.
